Dillon’s educational background starts at Southeast Community College where he earned his degree in Computer Information Technology with a focus on Networking. Starting his career in IT at a local financial institution, he quickly realized his passion for Cybersecurity after working with the multiple security tools required for compliance. While exiting the financial world, he joined the MSSP industry helping small businesses around the world protect themselves from cyber threats. His daily work consisted of managing firewalls, vulnerability discovery, SIEM, phishing simulation, email security, along with endpoint security tool management.
Dillon’s current position is a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst at a former Fortune 500 company. Here he is building the security operations center while responding to incidents, tuning detection mechanisms, threat hunting, and more. Dillon’s certifications include GIAC GMON, Certified Banking Security Technology Professional, Tanium Operations and Security, Cylance Certified Security Professional, Fortinet Network Security Expert, Qualys Certified Specialist, Log Rhythm Security Analyst & Administrator.
